The Maryland State Quarter Horse Youth Association held its first All-Novice and Open Show at the Howard County Fairgrounds on June 26, 2010. Featured shows

This year, MSQHA will hold two one-day shows in Maryland:

August 13 at the Howard County Fair and the first-ever Introductory Show at the Howard County Fairgrounds on August 22. The Black-Eyed Susan has a new location and date: Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Virginia, which has beautifully renovated barns and wash stalls. The show will be held September 4 and 5.

Our best show

Every year, the Youth Association sends a team to the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio,

to compete in the National Youth Activity Team Tournament, or NYATT. Last year, the team comprised Allison Thierry, Angelina Watts, Abi Buckwalter, Michael Kerner, Stephanie Rice, and Tierra Buck. Youth Advisor was Page Pratt. Team members showed in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, and Hunter Under Saddle. This year, the NYATT competition will be held Sunday, October 17.
